yup, that's my new favorite "interview outfit," folks. Alfred-Almond is my new favorite school. After a brief interview ("what is your experience with kids? Why do you want to be a sub?") with their wonderful elementary administrator (whose son just joined the Navy 2 weeks ago), I have been approved to start subbing after the next school board meeting (May 11). I am thrilled, esp. because the Alfred-Almond area is one that our favorite Dixie (cup, as in the white sailor hat) and I have decided might be the perfect "settling down" spot. I am also thrilled because after I successfully sub in the district at least 10 times, the fingerprinting fee will be refunded. Now if the other schools would just get their act together and start calling me, I'd be all set.
