I found a picture

that looks like ours. Ours still has her ears though and is a bit younger. She is slightly more compact in the face also.

she says:
Corsos have ears alot like a lab's, but they're routinely clipped short since one of the functions of the first corsos, aside from being work dogs, was for fighting, so things that could easily be bitten were clipped off(don't read too much into that). The tails are docked 4 vertebra long so that the owner still has a "handle" to control the dog during shows. Ours will keep her ears, as I find it much cuter.

yes, ears are cute :-)
and how sad that they do that to the poor little things!!

well, from what I've seen/heard, the shot of anesthesia hurts more than the clipping of the ears, and supposedly it's healthier for the dog because stuff doesn't get stuck down there, and if you do the right cut, there is no scar tissue. BUT I still don't like it, and think that it's just as easy to remember to check for UFOs in the ears. Plus, it costs another 100 euro.

ya know...now I have that song stuck in my head about where can the little dog be with the ears cut short and the tail cut long or where or where can he be.....

a. do your ears hang low?
do they wobble to and fro?
can you tie them in a knot?
can you tie them in a bow?
can you throw them over your shoulder
like a continental soldier?
do your ears hang low?

b. ears = good

c. what with the cropped tail and gray coat, tuna-the-psycho-cat is wondering if he is possibly missed by you-all. Also he would like to remind you that he doesn't drool, as he has a suspicion that that mouth looks a bit drooly.
