plain Cheerios with milk

is one of my son's favorite breakfasts. What can I say, he's a mamma's boy. This morning the boy ate 3 small bowls of plain cheerios with milk, along with most of a banana and a cup of water. He only used a spoon about half the time, but when all was said and done he'd had more to eat than his six-months-pregnant mother. And that's saying something ;-)

not my favorite timeline

5:00 p.m.: recover key from friendly neighbor, unlock the front door, general "welcome home" mayhem ensues.
7:00 p.m.: defrosted and reheated chili mac with a side of (freshly) scrambled eggs for dinner.
9:00 p.m.: mira falls asleep on the couch and is escorted upstairs.
10:oo p.m.: wild child falls asleep on the couch and is escorted upstairs. mr. waaz continues with the unpacking. dog acquires a mysterious limp, perhaps from slamming into walls in her excitement over having "her" people back.
12:oo a.m.: everyone is awake again. wide awake. mr. waaz contemplates sleep, but is unable to doze off. cheerios and milk and chunks of ham and sugar babies are consumed.
2:00 a.m.: mr. waaz brings down the newborn-3 month box of boy clothes so mira can sort them and add some adorable "new"clothes from a friend of a friend to the box. wild child lives up to the nickname by rediscovering the toys in the suitcases and throwing them at the cat/dog/shadow on the ground and laughing hysterically, pausing only to dance along to the music from daddy's guitar game.
5:00 a.m.: the boy falls asleep again, and the parents are quick to follow suit.

Hooray we made it!!

and in very good time I might add. Our plane touched down in "sunny" Sig at 4:05 and we walked in our front door at 5:05 to be greeted by one happy pup and one indifferent kitty. Any way more will be said and pictures will be posted after we get our beauty rest.

Good-Bye 4 degrees, Hello 55

packing up the car, heading out. Pray for us!! Will try to update if we find internet somewhere.

"Train up a child in the way he should go,

and when he is old(er) he will not turn from it (even if he happens to travel to another country)"~Proverbs 22:6 (NIV); parentheses my own. Feel free to add your own captions ;-)
