Forever toying with us --

A CNN crew traveling with Lance Cpl. Jason Hunt of Wellsville caught this Humvee explosion on tape. The explosion tossed cameraman David Allbritton 12 feet, but no one was hurt. Six photos documenting the explosion appear in Wednesday's Daily Reporter (March 30) along with another story of Hunt saving three soldiers from a sewage pond in Iraq. Photo courtesy CNN.

Although they were being cautious and suspicious about the abandoned car, the Marines decided to push it off the road. Jason Hunt was driving the Humvee when the car blew up. Jason was able to walk away from the fireball and help get important stuff out of the Humvee which (obviously) also caught fire.
What I want to know is this: 3 soldiers in a sewage pond? What's that all about?

I found an internet cafe in town for 15 minutes for 30 pesos which is like a dollar twenty five. Getting to Cabarete (East of Sosua) was quite interesting. Everything is fine except for everyone being sunburnt. Just laying on the beach and at the pool. Our hotel is 15 american a night and is just fine. It has a pool and fridges and such. We're about to go scuba diving is sousua for the afternoon. Should be a lot of fun. The plan as of now is to stay here until Friday and then go back to Santiago on Friday morning.This keyboard is really hard to type on so sorry for the errors. I probably won't check this until I get home. But just wanted to let you know i'm safe.
