UFO ISO FQS

(Un-Finished Object In Search Of Fat Quarter Supplementation)

Scrappy Log Cabin squares, one of which has been declared a "beauty mark" as opposed to "totally screwed up". Will eventually become a small birthday quilt for lp, hopefully in time for the big day. Made from thrifted cotton shirts and stash fabric from Abuela, Granny Boo, and the quilt instructor lady who was ever so amused that I wanted to purchase her scraps. Machine pieced and hopefully hand-quilted with a little blue embroidered something in each of the linen center squares (eventually). Hoping to have enough variety so that each fabric is used only 3 times (we'll see).

wow! someone's been busy. :) Looks really good, I like the colors. When is the next class anyway? I haven't gotten an email yet. Talk to you later. :)

it was yesterday...oops (I didn't go either). She's starting a Mineo class though, it's in this week's paper. I'm planning to go to that instead.

Man alive you are talented. My 4-H instructer dubbed me "queen of the seem ripper" and suggested maybe I don't want to do the sewing projects...LOL

My seam ripper and I are great friends...until he decides to gash my finger half open (it's in the archives). The "beauty mark" block was the result of sewing that particular block with 1/8" seams instead of 1/4, seam ripping only partway, and resewing the seams the WRONG way. I'm definitely not the perfectionist my mom and grandma are!
