me: "Honey, guess what?!"
mr. waaz: "what."
"if you go to sleep right now, you will get a whole 6 hours of sleep before you have to be awake again!"
"hooray. "
15 hour days are no good, I tell you. lb and j, I now understand your "like ships passing in the night" comment from awhile back. Add no sleep to starching and ironing uniforms and polishing boots every single day to STUPID people at work, and you get one drained husband, in every sense of the word.
ugh.

I'm sorry baby.... I can sympathize.
it's AWFUL! I know only too well!!
Thanks for posting the letter, but I couldn't figure out how to post a comment thanking you, so I thank you here: "Grazie!" ;)

ps-would have no patience to handquilt a quilt over several generations. hats off to ur g'ma!
I feel (have felt) your pain! Thank goodness its rare for Henry to have 15 hr days for a substantial amount of time. Starching is no longer a issue though. YAY!!! LOVE the new easy care uniforms.
did you know starch glows with night vision goggles? And yet they require SECURITY to starch their uniforms. eh well, we'll get the new uniforms eventually...probably about 6 months before we separate, lol.
So many comments, probably none should be voiced.... Wow
