actually, I laughed. But I can never figure out why people would (a) not laugh, and (b) be horribly offended if this was a dog. It's totally speciesist.

Apparently our free cat was adopted not two days after we dropped him off at the humane society. We are very relieved that he's not one of the 3 in 5 animals that ends up euthanized for lack of space or a permanant home.

Jim-while we were dropping off Temporary, the humane society got a call about a dog that was hit by a car and pretty unrecognizeable. They were all bawling, and all I could think of was your comment. So true.
