coffee, anyone?

watery instant:

Walked around NO for three hours on 7/11,
drank castor oil shake at 5:00 pm.
Water broke around 12:30, D home from work around 2, arrived at hospital at 5 (4-5 cm, 100%).
Fully dilated around 7, started pushing around 8.
Doc came in at 8:40, delivered at 8:45 am on July 12, 2006.
Ethan Patrick was 20.5 long, 8 lbs, 5.5 oz, 9's on Apgars.
A few tiny internal stitches, no meds, fluids, etc.
Quick and manageable.
Was ready to go home at 4 hours PP, ended up having to stay 48 hrs "just in case."
Had to use a bili bed (tanning bed for yellow babies) for a couple of nights(overkill but whatever), all good now.

spectacular slow roast is still in the works...I'm on p. 5...you can stop rolling your eyes now...

now you CAN drink all the coffee you want and your annoying doctor cousin won't say a word! ;) (someday it'll be your turn to say "words" to me when I sneak a cup....just not right now)
I'm still waiting to hear about the toilet, as is Jim. He told me I should make up a blog about it and post it as you. I'm starting to get tempted to....Trust me, I have a lot of REAL stories from L and D that I could use to fabricate your story! ;)

*lol* That would be too funny... You should just start posting some of them as her and let everyone try to guess which one is real. ;)

There should ALWAYS have a pic of the baby when you blog. I'm sure he's changed since yesterday. By the way E, you look great!

you probably couldn't make up a story as good as hers.(the beauty of the story is the steady progress + a feeling of "do-able") everybody in the hospital was jealous though there was some eye-raising about the toilet part. too bad there weren't any fields to plow in the afternoon, because pioneer woman could have done it.
the 2 oz of castor oil was not my idea.

oh, and the coffee is an allusion.

nah, allusion isn't the word. I'll think of it tomorrow. in any case, she isn't talking about coffee.
