We went to the zoo on April 25 and had a great time - and froze. Thankfully Spring seems to be here today. The kids enjoyed all of the animals and thought that it was especially fun when they got to howl with the wolves and "pet" the seals. Pictured with us are Lilac and Genny C. Apparently one of those elephants just turned 25 on Saturday. No clue which one.

Elephants don't belong in cold climates. Google "Wankie" and see.
Some of us aren't sure people do, either.
Jim- I am NOT, under ANY circumstances going to google "wankie" on a Houghton College computer. t'ain't happenin'.
erin- and you thought YOU had the beginnings of wrinkles. It's all a matter of perspective ;-)
Okay, for those of sensitive dispositions:
Wankie, Peaches and Tatima were elephants at a Chicago zoo. Peaches and Tatima died from bad treatment, largely meaning being left outside in Chicago. Thanks to public outcry (PETA), Wankie was transferred to Utah, but died on the way. :(
Aw... how sad. And I am totally with the elephants in their dislike for cold weather. YUCK!
And Em, thanks for the perspective, but still, I am not an elephant - I hope to never have wrinkles that serious!! The tiny lines I am experiencing are more than sufficient for now, thanks. :)
