Surprise, surprise (not really) my due date changed as well. Apparently I am now "due" June 12, exactly a month before Big Brother turns 2. Sorry, Gma/Gpa W, I doubt I'll be able to hold out until your anniversary. The good news is, that makes me 5 months/20 weeks PG already. Woo hoo! No wonder I'm not fitting into those size skinny jeans anymore...

...and the verdict is...
Well, aside from one person who had an unfair advantage (tee hee), good guesses everyone. You were all at least 50% correct! It seems that almost everyone was hoping for a girl, but expecting a boy. Mr. waaz and myself really had no clue or expectations, aside from having a short list of girl name possibilities and NOTHING for a boy. uh oh. Mom, how do you think this will look as the beginnings of a "coming home" ensemble?

N.B.: for fear of offending the sensibilities of a certain doctor cuz, and because really they just look like black and white and grey fuzz, all ultrasound pics have been left out of this post. We'll bring them along in the suitcase if you really feel like squinting. We promise, however, that it's not worth it. We did get one wonderful "straight up the butt between the legs" shot that offered 99.9% confirmation, but the tech didn't happen to print that lovely angle. I'm sure the new boychild will be forever grateful.

J and I aren't really sure if it is an UNFAIR advantage. :) *lol* He also says you should have made everyone wait a little longer. I told him you would have been killed if you waited any longer. The only question would have been, who would do the strangling? :)
Note to everyone else: D & E were COMPLETELY fair in this guessing game. Our "knowledge" did NOT come from anything they said or did. We just listened to another source. :) Both of us also hold fast to the belief that baby #3 will be the girl and T will no longer be the reining princess-only-girl-grandchild. Just, don't talk to her about her reining princess status.... It may go to her head. Oh yeah, and for the record, said princess was one of the ones hoping for a girl. I'm sure she'll get over it when Boy Two is born and she can cuddle, coddle and boss.
Denise Campbell and I had an interesting discussion in nursery yesterday about why I "knew" it was/is a boy. Pretty funny really but in the end she commented that she felt like my overwhelming "impression" was probably more accurate than any clues- especially as I was having trouble identifying specific clues.
Back in the original post I decided not to say "vote" because that translated to me as "hope"; I decided to say what I thought he was/is. I think it is interesting that most people thought boy. Tim only said girl because as we were talking last week I said boy so he said "then I'll just vote the opposite", which isn't really what he was thinking so much.
But if he/she comes on the 12th or 27th I still think he will magically turn into a she, so be prepared. (maybe I'm looking ahead to 2010 or something)
Congrats :-)
and how cute of an outfit is that!?!
when are you home? can't wait to see you!
love you
wait a sec, I thought I was the one with the unfair advantage b/c I know what long US's mean! ;)
And hey, did I call it that due date or what? :)
LB
ps-thanks, I really don't like seeing vagina stripes on blogs. ;)
so, since you have no boy names, is here where we start giving suggestions and see who wins? tee hee ;-)
Hmm, LB, you could be right.... She could have been referring to you. ;) Good job on the DD.
I can't picture them letting us help name a child... I know I wouldn't do that again myself!! :)
suggestions always welcome, have you noticed my mother's? We reserve the right to veto or approve in whatever fashion we deem appropriate ;-) (there may be lots of snorting and/or rolling of the eyes involved)
and apparently the u/s's are at least an hour long here always (we got a confirmed "boy" sighting within about 15 minutes). Funny, because my last u/s lasted a maximum of 30" and yet I received slightly better pics. I guess you can concentrate more when you're not talking so much to the belly baring woman on the table and her exhausted H, lol.
hmmm....well we could start the snorting laughter with "Earl"
Love the new pic at the top - where's the fountain? Can't wait to see you all!
Yay for the new pic!! Hmmm...... name suggestions.... Well, here is one that REALLY was up for consideration for a third on our end.... Cassius Edward (Cassius WOULD be shortened to Casey and it would probably hold more significance on my end since it was J's great g-pa. I thought the "Casey" and "Edward" parts were fine. :) ) ---- Which reaction did that name get? Snorts, eye rolling or ROFLMAO?
We like Gavin...but considering how far off kids are...we won't cry if you fall in love with it too :D
